Welcome to the Resource Bank!

One of the first things you’ll notice about studying law is the sheer number of databases and resources you’re expected to use. It can feel overwhelming at first which is exactly why we’ve put this guide together. The aim is simple: to point you towards the key resources so you know where to start when tackling your readings or research.

A quick disclaimer: this isn’t a substitute for the library. The library will remain one of your most valuable tools throughout your degree, and it has a much wider range of databases than we’ve highlighted here. If you need something beyond the essentials, we recommend checking the library’s A–Z list of databases (All Library Databases), and the dedicated Library Law Guide, which brings together support, advice, and specialist resources for law students.

You can filter by Tags by clicking on the three lines to the right of the heading.

We hope you find this Resource Bank useful whether it’s your first formative, your last 24-hour exam, or your dissertation.
